First Commemorative Issue of the Kingdom of Akshara Royal Postal Service. Official languages are English and Vijay (a Sanskrit variant). On August 15, 1947, the Postal Service also issued a first day cover.

12 designs in values of 1, 2, 4, 25, 40, 50, 67, 80, 100, 200, 350, 400.

(V.2000) Images are from a postcards found in Jodhpur, India; chromolithograph prints published in Lloyd's Natural History (c. 1890) printed by Wyman & Sons Ltd.; and copper engraved prints (c 1790). Stamp sheets were direct printed with a Xerox DC12 colour laser printer onto ungummed paper. Hand perforated using Jim Felter's Rosback perforator. 2 signed, perforator's proofs given for the use of the perforation machine. Numbers 42 & 43 kept by the artist.
